CAPTION: Camden Music School recently received an unexpected treasure trove of donated instruments from musician Tony Pulver, including the guitar played by CMS student Lashayla Mosby (pictured). Pulver, who was referred to CMS by Kevin Barnes at KBEM/Jazz 88FM, will be honored at this year’s CMS Holiday Sing-Along on December 10.
Make this fun, festive, free event one of your holiday traditions (if you haven’t already)! Our annual sing-along begins at 4 p.m., Saturday, December 10 at Camden Music School (CMS) at 3751 Sheridan Ave. It’s a simply beautiful, neighborly way to celebrate the season.
The sing-along features: Audience selections of favorites from Deck the Halls to Winter Wonderland; a sprinkling of concert performances by local musicians; and a grand mass chorus of Handel’s Messiah (bring your score or we’ll provide one).
At the bake sale you’ll find fabulous, traditional holiday sweets, homemade lefse and other ethnic specialties, gluten free items and gourmet baked goods. And new this year: delectable, healthy ‘n good goodies from members of Northside Fresh, a coalition of 79 organizations that are working together to increase Northside residents’ access to healthy foods.
Local crafters create unique, music-themed items for the sale, among many other great gift ideas. Shop for your favorite musician – or for anyone on your list.
All proceeds from the bake and craft sale go to the CMS Scholarship Fund, a sponsored project of Our Neighborhood Works, www.ourneighborhoodworks.com.
Join us for good music, good cheer, and a craft and bake sale that’s not to be missed. For info contact 612-618-0219 or info@camdenmusicschool.com.
