9th Annual Camden Music School Spring Recitals
By: Janet Zahn 06/01/2013
Camden Music School (CMS) students are bringing their talent and skills to a delightful set of spring recitals on two Saturdays, June 8 and June 15. Concert-goers will hear a variety of students playing many instruments and styles, from beginner pianists to advanced bass guitarists; from adult Afro-Cuban drummers to clarinet and string players, and more. Each recital is about one hour in length and they are free and open to the public.
The schedule: Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 3751 Sheridan Ave. N., June 8, 12:30 p.m. and June 15, 1 p.m.; and Grace Center for Community Life, 1500 6th St. NE, June 8, 4 p.m.
A reception featuring good cookies, coffee and conversation follows each recital. Students will be available for handshakes, and teachers and staff will be available to answer questions. Attendees can also register for summer lessons or summer camps after the recitals. Donations for the CMS Scholarship Fund will be accepted at each event.
CMS student Audrey Rogness says, “Come to the recitals. It’s a really fun time to be in a community of music!” Info: 612-618-0219 or camdenmusicschool.com.
