Step right up and be astounded by a magnificent glow-in-the-dark Ping Pong ball circus.
Yes, in one breathtaking half hour, The Amazing Gnip Gnop Circus will delight you with thrills, grace and marvels of nature. You will never look at table tennis the same way again.
This is a truly modern entertainment, rich in old-time tradition. You’ll thrill to acrobats, tightrope walkers, clowns, wild animals and more. All 100 percent ping pong balls guaranteed to glow in the dark! The show is free and begins at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 9 at Camden Music School, 3751 Sheridan (Luther Memorial Lutheran Church).
Circus Minimus Puppetry (CMP) is Minneapolis duo Shari Aronson and Christopher Griffith. CMP has performed for family audiences at theaters, museums, libraries, festivals and special events throughout the Midwest and across the country.
Christopher Griffith, co-founder and artistic director of Galumph Interactive Theater, has produced, directed and performed participatory theater in the Twin Cities for over a decade. Shari Aronson has written plays for family audiences through commissions from the Minneapolis Jewish Community Center, Minnesota History Center and the Mill City Museum.
David DeGennaro, CMS drum kit instructor, has composed music for five Circus Minimus Productions, and is responsible for bringing this wonderful production to our community.
Don’t miss this attraction extraordinaire. Recommended for ages 3 and up. A reception follows the show with cold lemonade, cookies and conversation. Donations will be accepted at the event for the CMS Scholarship Fund, a sponsored project of Our Neighborhood Works. Online donations are also accepted at www.camdenmusicschool.com.
