Flower Shop Project joins with Workhouse Theatre

The Flower Shop Project and Workhouse Theatre Company announce their production of But Not For Love, by Matthew Everett. This co-production is directed by Richard Jackson and features Erica Fields, Foster Johns, Shawn Hoffman, Jen Rand, Paul Rutledge, Jeremiah Stich and Carl Atiya Swanson.
The story: A double wedding. Two couples — one straight, one gay — divided over what their ceremony should mean to themselves or anyone else. A lovelorn lady minister who has a secret of her own. A policeman torn between the picket line outside the church and the ceremony he’s obliged to protect. A protester with ties to the bride and the grooms who’s willing to throw rocks through stained glass windows to keep the vows from taking place. Nothing tests a person like a wedding.
The performances are at The Warren — An Artist Habitat, 4400 Osseo Rd., and run from October 12 to 28. Friday and Saturday show times are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. There is a special pay-what-you-can performance on Monday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door ($13 online) and $13 for students and senior citizens ($11 online).
