Holiday Concert and Sing Along Plus a FUN Craft and Bake Sale
By: Janet Zahn 12/01/2010
Come enjoy a delightful hour of good, old-fashioned holiday cheer at Camden Music School's Holiday Sing-Along, Craft and Bake Sale, 4-5 p.m., on Saturday, December 11 at Luther Memorial, 3751 Sheridan.
Audience members choose their favorite songs to sing - from Jingle Bells to Jingle Bell Rock - culminating with a grand mass chorus of Handel's Messiah. The singing is sprinkled with concert performances by local pianist extraordinaire Jim Zieba and others.
After the concert, everyone's invited to a cool craft and bake sale. You'll find lefse and other ethnic specialties, gluten free items and some primo ooo-la-la gourmet baked goods. Local crafters create unique, music-themed items for the sale, too, and we'll have some special Musikgarten gifts for the little ones.
All proceeds from the bake and craft sale go to the CMS Scholarship Fund which provides tuition assistance to individuals and families. Donations are also accepted at any time at www.camdenmusic school.com. The CMS Scholarship Fund is a sponsored project of Our Neighborhood Works, www.ourneighborhoodworks.com.
This is a free heartwarming holiday tradition for many - and we hope you'll make it yours! To get in the spirit, check out our singing sing-along video invitation on Facebook. Info: 612-618-0219 or info@camdenmusicschool.com.
