Hopewell Music Cooperative North presents an afternoon of new orchestra music
05/01/2014
Come hear the Northside’s only orchestra play works of living composers at their last spring concert on Saturday, May 17, 3 p.m. at North United Methodist Church, 4350 Fremont Ave. N. They’ll be covering all the musical bases, from jazz to contemporary music including Olorun and the Orisha written by Dameun Strange, a local composer and Hopewell co-founder. The concert is free and open to the public and will conclude with a reception.
The orchestra is composed of Hopewell students and community members with more than one year’s worth of playing experience; the orchestra accepts new members year-round.
