Got a flair for the dramatic? Learn how to audition

As their successful Fall/Winter Reader’s Theatre Series draws to a close, Workhouse Theatre Company is gearing up for their first mainstage production of 2007. George Herman’s A Company of Wayward Saints, a physical comedy in the style of “commedia dell’arte” will run June 7 to 23 at The Warren (44th Ave. N and Osseo Rd).
On Thursday, March 29 Workhouse Theatre Company will host an Audition Workshop at The Warren. Camden community members (and anyone else!) with an interest in live theatre performance but with little practical experience will have the opportunity to learn what to expect in a theatre audition, in a low-pressure, fun and supportive environment. Company members will explain the audition process, conduct practice “auditions,” and make actual audition pieces from A Company of Wayward Saints available to attendees, a week before actual auditions. The workshop is free and begins at 7 p.m. Pre-register with WTC at 612-529-2584 or info@workhousetheatre.org.
Auditions will be conducted the first week of April. In addition, Workhouse Theatre will be looking to fill a variety of offstage roles. Residents are encouraged to contact WTC to see how their talents can help Camden’s own theatre company.
