The Goddess of Glass, Lowry and Penn, is going to be on national TV on November 8. DIY’s I Hate My Kitchen came to her studio this past spring to film her making glass tiles for a kitchen makeover. The producer found her through her website, goddessofglass.com, and invited her to make a glass tile backsplash for a makeover for the Aherns in Edina. “I went to the site to check out the space and meet the crew for the first time. Then they came to my studio to film a segment of the episode.” www.diynetwork. com/i-hate-my-kitchen/show/ index.html.

After 10 years working in the banking industry Jim Thiewes decided it was time for a career change and got into the pest and lawn business. With his love of lawn maintenance and trapping moles, he figured he‘d take things a step further, so he got licensed for (Commercial Pesticide Applicator) Turf and Ornamentals and Non Ag Fertilizer Applicator through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and launched his business, Feldjagers Pest and Lawn, in September. Since he’s a Camden resident, when hired to do lawn maintenance or pest control for other Camden residents, whether it’s aerating, fertilizing, seeding, grub control or mowing a lawn, he’s going to give you 110 percent service. Not like some of those big companies that charge astronomical prices and spend five minutes in your lawn. He’s licensed and insured. Services include lawn maintenance, aerating, fertilizing, organic fertilizing, seeding, mowing (weekly, contracts), precision edging, fall/spring clean ups, dethatching, grub control, insect control, mole, gopher, vole trapping/baiting, snow removal (sidewalks and driveways) and more. Contact Jim for a fall clean up, or aerating and fertilizing and he’ll give you a 10 percent discount! 612-267-4646, services@fjpestandlawn.com or www.fjpestandlawn.com.
