What happened to Doc's Gym? The neighborhood fixture on 42nd and Lyndale is under construction and will soon be a coffee shop and deli. So where's the gym? Dr. Greg Olson, longtime Camden resident and owner of the gym and the chiropractic clinic at Lowry and Russell Avenues is moving both businesses to the newly developed Penn-Lowry business corridor. Originally, Dr. Olson planned a much larger, combined facility on the empty lot at the same intersection, but issues with the city and other developers made that option almost impossible to pursue, given his time constraints and their delays. The Judo champions who he trains at his studio have lost precious practice time, so after much deliberation about relocation, the buildings on Penn, behind North End Hardware, will be the new home for the gym and clinic. Judo, Jujitsu and other martial arts are taught at the gym, new members are always welcome, kids too! The old clinic will eventually be torn down as the city is planning a green space for that location. Contact Dr. Greg Olson at 612-522-0440 for updates and appointments. Watch for news about a grand opening soon!

The old Camden Coffee site on 44th is also undergoing a renovation. Look for more details next month!
