After over 30 years at their current location, Camden Pet Hospital is moving next door to 1405 44th Ave. N. (formerly North Side Electric). Having outgrown the old building at 1401 44th Ave. N. some time ago, the new facility will have twice the space. Renovations are underway and will provide three exam rooms, a large treatment room, a separate surgery suite and radiology area. An open house event is planned for late March or early April. The phone number will remain the same as well as the caring and friendly service.
After 18 years of serving the community, pharmacist Tom Johnson is retiring and he sold Carlson Camden Pharmacy, 4151 Fremont, on January 22 to Snyder Drug. Tom says that the new Snyder Camden Pharmacy will have a greater variety of merchandise while still providing the services of a neighborhood pharmacy, including free delivery to Camden residents. The Northwest Minneapolis Business Association held elections at their annual meeting. Real Estate Recycling has won the prestigious NAIOP Award of Excellence as an exceptional industrial project. Six judges, representing a cross-section of developers, general contractors, mortgage bankers, brokers and industry specialists toured the new facility at 49th Ave. N. and Osseo Road, judging the project in four areas: site improvements and design, architectural integrity, market feasibility and overall impression.
