Think Global, Shop Local! You can save money, gas, time and be "green" just by shopping in your own neighborhood. Find out about all of the great businesses just around the corner in the Northwest Minneapolis Business Association (NWMBA) Directory. Pick up a copy at a local business or call 612-703-9609. The NWMB invites business owners to become new members so you can be included in the 2009 NWMBA directory! This directory is a great community resource. NWMBA will print and distribute 3,000 directories this year. Hurry, the deadline is Tuesday, June 16! Send your business logo, business contact info, address, website, email and short two sentence statement about your business to our mailing address or register at www.nwmplsbusiness.com.
Congratulations to Impact-Proven Solutions for 25 years of success! This growing business made a huge expansion on Lyndale and had a grand open house in April to celebrate the anniversary and allow customers and community members to see their newly finished expansion. They have built a state of the art facility that will allow them to continue to grow and meet their client's needs in increasingly creative and cost efficient ways. They have recently acquired the direct mail division of the Star Tribune. This new division will enhance their analytics and response capabilities. How does this translate to customers? Simple, their goal is to make tomorrow better than today for their clients. The open house guests were warmly received by CEO Tim Johnson and President Mark Anderson, and the Impact employees. Guests were also treated to a greeting by Mayor Rybak and City Councilwoman Barbara Johnson. The Camden Community deeply appreciates Impact's commitment to the neighborhood and the important role it plays in keeping Camden a vital community.
You don't have to look far to see what's new in Camden. Check out the new convenience store at 1701 44th Ave North. Owner Kevin Aldwaik has done a great job remodeling the store and it is now open for business.
If you venture down a bit further on 44th you will see a new restaurant next to Steamworks. At 2203 44th Ave. N. you will find the "gastropub" Victory 44. The owners, Eric Harcey and Ben Hiza, most recently of Nicollet Island Inn, opened this new spot on May 1. The relaxed atmosphere, combined with high quality food and reasonable prices should prove to be a winning combination for this new venture. Their tag line states, "Victory never tasted so good!" Stop by soon, they are open Mon.-Sun. for lunch 9 a.m.-2 p.m.; Mon.-Thurs. for dinner 5-9 p.m.; Fri-Sat 5-10 p.m. Closed on Sun. evenings. 612-588-2228.
Asian Media Access has moved in at 4640 Lyndale Ave. Welcome to the Camden community.
