Ham and Asparagus Rolls on Rice

tbsp butter
4 tbsp four
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 c milk
1/2 c grated cheese
32 stalks fresh, cooked asparagus or equivalent canned
8 thin slices boiled ham
Layer of cooked rice, about 2 c
Paprika
To make rolls, roll a slice of ham around 3 or 4 stalks of cooked asparagus. Place a layer of rice in shallow, buttered baking dish, add ham and asparagus rolls. Pour over the white sauce to which the cheese has been added. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake 15 to 20 min. in a 400 degree oven.
