Community garage sale to help crime prevention

The Fourth Precinct Advisory Council is organizing a Community Garage, Craft and Bake Sale to be held Saturday, September 13 on the Hamilton School grounds at 42nd and Dupont Avenues North.
The Advisory Council is looking for donations to sell and also for vendors who wish to sell their own items. Individuals may rent a space to sell items and earn money for themselves or their organization. Rates are $20 per 12 ft. space. There are also a limited number of tables that may be rented for $10 each. Set-up hours are 8-9 a.m., tear down 4-5 p.m. the day of the sale. Any items left behind will be donated to a local charity. Electricity is not available and there will be no refunds. The deadline to register for a space is September 5.
The Advisory Council is also seeking donations for the sale. Donate your gently used, clean items on Tuesday, September 2 and Wednesday, September 3. Call Joel at 612-481-5635.
The Community Garage, Craft and Bake Sale runs 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on September 13 (rain or shine). Everyone is encouraged to stop by the sale for some great bargain shopping and support the community.
The Advisory Council (or 4PAC) is a non-profit organization that promotes cooperation between police and the community on law enforcement issues, crime prevention strategies, community problems and criminal justice issues. They work to educate residents on their roles and responsibilities as they relate to crime prevention, the criminal justice system, victimization, and to serve as a resource on issues, programs, projects, and services to the precinct.
