Webber pool is okayed!
07/01/2012
Before the July Camden News went to print Jennifer Ringold, Manager of Public Engagement and Citywide Planning notified the paper with the following:
“We are happy to report that the state legislature has approved legislation to allow the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) to pilot the natural water treatment system that was recommended as a result of the community advisory process and approved by MPRB commissioners. The need to take legislative action was identified after the community meetings were complete. We are working through design details and anticipate that construction documents will be complete this fall. We will be able to report on a revised construction schedule shortly.
You may have noticed that the old pool is in the process of being removed. We had a few days delay as we waited for the electrical connection to be turned off by Xcel Energy.”

The Camden News will provide a complete story on the Webber pool as details become available.
