    Orlando “O.T.” Thomas says it to himself and to his dear wife, Demetria, every time he keeps saying it to many others—namely, “Every day is a Holiday!”  Nearly anybody else who would be as completely debilitated as O.T. is by Lou Gehrig’s Disease might have given up already in despair. O.T. is inspiring to me and, I hope to others, because some of our own friends and dear ones are about his age, 34, inspiring because of what he has done thus far with his life as a Viking player, and what he started to do as a coach.

    I hope our media viewing and reading public will keep as keen an interest in O.T.’s trial of life and death as we did watching the tube during the O.J. trial! Say a prayer for both former football players, but keep a special place in your heart for O.T.’s wonderful nurse and wife, Demetria, and their children.
